Gapplegate Music began started selling guitars on ebay a number of years ago and expanded from there. Owner Grego Edwards began making music as a young kid, beginning with piano, then guitar and drums by third grade. He attended Berklee College of Music 1971-72 and the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Studios in 1972. He studied privately with Ornette Coleman, Elvin Jones, David Friedman, Barry Altschul, etc., and went to the Contemporary School of Music in 1973-74. Grego gigged for a number of years, was A&R/Producer/Song Plugger for Dick James Music/DJM Records in 1976-77, received a BA from New York University and an MA from the University of Chicago in 1981 and 1984 in anthropology and ethnomusicology. He entered publishing as a writer, covering music and the arts for many years. He wrote a novel about musicians and artists and the difficulties they face every day. He currently is a music critic for Cadence Magazine and is recording an album with his group Yodler ex Machina and the Garage Orchestra. Well, that's the owner. What has YOUR life been like so far?
